Safety
For a safety program to be effective it needs to be readily accessible, understood and have the buy-in of every associate with the company. Bradbury Stamm has taken this belief and created a program that achieves.
At Bradbury Stamm every associate, including subcontractors and managers, carries the Bradbury Stamm Safety Passport. This small booklet, available in both English and Spanish, contains all the common safety practices and is stored in everyone’s hardhat for easy reference. Management cannot allow or direct an employee to violate the Safety Passport rules and each Passport contains a disciplinary program consisting of a violations page and an employee administered write-up page.
It Works!
Bradbury Stamm recently received an award from the Army Corps of Engineering (COE) Albuquerque District for outstanding performance and sustained excellence in safety for the Baca Dlo’ Ay Azhi Consolidated Replacement School construction site. The COE was impressed with Bradbury Stamm’s safety program, its structure and its execution.
The Baca project was the first time the Corps had seen a general contractor with such a structured program in place that met their own requirements with little or no modifications. With more than 200,000 man hours recorded on the project and no injuries or inspection deficiencies, it is understandable why this award was given.
