"Rio Rancho High School was a cooperative project between Rio Rancho Public Schools, Sandoval County and Intel Corporation, who paid for this campus. It was a design-build project and one of the first really large school design-build projects in New Mexico. Because this was our first high school, we wanted someone locally because we wanted to have a lot of involvement in this project. During the months that we built the school, we met on a weekly basis to try and resolve all our issues. Bradbury Stamm was very receptive. Every time we needed an issue resolved, they were willing to sit at the table and work with us. Sometimes when a building project is over, all you feel is relief, but we felt good about the final product. We felt good about the team they pulled together. School construction has its own unique characteristics and it is very important to have a builder who understands the special needs that schools have and who are used to working with principals, teachers and the community. As we developed the educational specifications for our school, it was wonderful to have someone who understood school construction, along with our special needs and wants. We found that Bradbury Stamm has a very good understanding of what it takes to build a good school. I think this school is a very good example of that. We were pleased with the outcome. For us, it was a very positive experience. The school won a national award for its aesthetic quality, its price and its functionality.”
- Dr. Sue Cleveland, Superintendent, Rio Rancho Public Schools
