Albuquerque Civic Plaza Renovation

Originally built by Bradbury Stamm in 1974 and renovated again in the 1990s, the Albuquerque Civic Plaza was in need of a face lift to match the newly remodeled Albuquerque Convention Center. The project involved the removal of a large fountain and the addition of an amphitheater, elevated platforms, a children's playground and a new splash park. The splash park, which people will be able to control using their smartphones, includes elaborate light displays within acrylic light boxes. The project also features the addition of the Al Hurricane Pavilion with a large video display and new theatrical lighting and sound speakers for large outdoor concerts and events.
