Designed and built to relieve overcrowding, the Yucca Heights Elementary School will serve 550 students in grades K-6. This one-story building has two classroom wings joined by a media center and cafetorium (cafeteria/gym) with a full kitchen. Penthouses on two of the wings allow for the majority of the mechanical system to be enclosed. The school also has a pump house, sand filtration system and leech field. Yucca Heights Elementary School is in a rural community and required significant infrastructure, including an onsite wastewater treatment facility to support the large, state-of-the-art facility.
