The 116,373sf Mesa Middle School was designed for 870 students. Each grade level is housed in a self-contained building known as an ‘Academic House’. The parent and bus drop-off/pick-up area was centrally located to facilitate student security and faculty supervision. Play fields are located within the school’s secure perimeter.
Key project features included cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, classrooms, and administrative spaces. Geothermal and sustainable features were utilized such as geothermal heat pumps, solar heat panels, low-flow plumbing fixtures, reflective roof system, and high-performance glazing.
“It is without hesitation and with much confidence that I commend and recommend Bradbury Stamm to any school district looking for a general contractor to partner with on a small, medium or large construction project. Their quality of work and product speak for themselves. Mesa Middle School in Las Cruces, New Mexico is a shining example of their work and on that we in Las Cruces are extremely proud of.”
