La Vida Llena, a leading assisted living community, underwent a series of renovations to update their original campus.
Carter Hall Renovation: This 25,000sf project involved the selective demolition, renovation and addition of La Vida Llena’s Carter Hall and common areas. Key features of the project included the remodel of dining room and dining waiting room, enclosure and refurbishment of outdoor pool, chapel, offices, entry, bistro, outdoor patio space, market/grocery store, and library. As Carter Hall is an elderly residential facility, all work was completed while the building remained occupied 24/7.
The Overlook at Alta Vista: The community spaces underwent a complete interior renovation and new patio addition. New finishes included elegant new carpets and ceramic tile, a gas indoor/outdoor fireplace with stacked stone surrounding it, kiva style fireplaces with diamond finish plaster, new chandeliers and acoustical improvements in the Dining Area. The project also included new casework, HVAC distribution, improved air circulation equipment, and the kitchen was updated. Exterior improvements included ADA corrections to the sidewalks and guardrails, stairs and entry ramps, as well as a new steel canopy for the north entry, and two new canopies covering the new Dining Patio, with fencing and landscaping improvements.
