The first phase of the renovation for this renowned venue consisted of additions/renovations to the picnic plaza, concession stand, box office, and opera shop, incorporating extensive additional restrooms. Major enhancements were made to the artistic support building, such as moving the existing elevator and extensive utility work. The second phase of the project consisted of approximately 13,000 sq. ft. of new production space for the opera, which includes a scene shop, furniture shop, and paint shop. Much of the new space was constructed below grade, beneath the new Stravinsky Terrace plaza. Also included was the demolition of the existing Donor’s Lounge, which was replaced with a new 6,000 sq. ft. Donor’s Lounge. The new lounge features several high-end finishes and expansive views of the opera facilities and the surrounding mountains.
