Ruben began his career in the geotechnical engineering arena, where he worked for the same employer for 12 years. He worked in some form of quality control/quality assurance for the next 11 years, working on projects from housing to commercial, treatment plants and federal projects.
"As Lead Quality Assurance Inspector, my aim is to observe what the contractor is doing on site, bring up issues, and try to resolve at the highest quality level before elevating to project management. As they say, 'you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,' and I have achieved this through keeping the contractor close and the sub-contractors closer."
