The New Heart Wellness Center is a 11,500sf heart patient rehabilitation and wellness center. This facility includes fitness areas, a patient monitoring station, exam rooms, a kitchen for diet education, locker rooms, and a conference room. Besides a facility for heart rehabilitation and wellness, the New Heart Office Building will serve as the headquarters for heart related “telemedicine”. This facility will have the capacity to monitor heart patients throughout the state via communication lines and allow cardiologists to see and speak to patients, and other doctors, via video-conferencing while reviewing the patient’s heartbeat, pressure, etc. through the monitoring equipment. This operation should allow people in remote areas of New Mexico to receive better treatment and diagnosis regarding heart ailments.
The building has a steel frame and an exterior of light gauge metal framing and stucco. The unique design of interior open spaces and exposed structure allows for a significant amount of natural light to filter throughout the interior of the building.
