For the ENMU Music Building project, the 50 year old, two story, 32,200 sf Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) building was remodeled and 5,000sf of new construction was performed. The project includes the demolition of all the mechanical and electrical systems and other selected areas in the existing building. The project turned an out-of-date building into a functional, high quality and innovative building on the ENMU campus. The 171 seat theater includes acoustical wall & ceiling with “clouds”, wood veneer finishes, audio & visual systems, a special area for an antique Pipe Organ, theatre lighting system, control room with recording capacity mixing booth, stage managers rack, multiple remote A/V input control stations, and motorized projector and screen. The project was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
